Forty-Three Icons [December 02, 2006 @ 12:43pm]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Nine icons of my photography, because I reckon I'm a bit egotistical that way (or generous; that sounds awfully nicer), and thirty-four Pride & Prejudice (2005), because I can no longer contain my obsession. I experimented with some new manners of colouring in the latter and am actually quite satisfied with most of them, although I'm still frustrated with my lack of time to learn to use the tools I've got (oh yeah, and my computer taking, you know, half an hour to load the GIMP).

P.S.: The boots in 003? My grandfather's Korean War combat boots. I am so much more hardcore than everyone now. :p

44 Kamil Vojnar [November 05, 2006 @ 4:21pm]

[ mood | chilly ]

A friend sent me a link to some of Kamil Vojnar's splendid photography, and I knew I had to make icons straightaway. It's weird and surreal and gorgeous and sad and hopeful and I adore it. So, pretty photography icons for you lot, although I really didn't touch them up much--Vojnar's photography is pretty enough that I don't need to play with it much. (Also, expect to see some more, eventually, because as the above link will show you, there are some really stunning peices I didn't get to.)

(By the way, if anyone could plug this someplace, or recommend to me a community that showcases, you know, non-fandom specific pretty-art icons, that'd be great, because the readership of this journal is, like, what, ten people? :p)

Twenty Three Eisley Icons [April 29, 2006 @ 1:13pm]

[ mood | relieved ]

I seem to icon Eisley more than anything else. (Is 'icon' a legitimate verb?) I think it's because they take such spiffing pictures. It's a compulsion. Aiee! Anyway, here you are. Enjoy. Also, if there are altogether too many hints of green in this set, blame spring.

Thirty Six Icons: Tuesday Skyline, Punctuation, Eisley [April 19, 2006 @ 10:02pm]

[ mood | content ]

Icons! At last, Banui, you lazy git.

Although nearly no one will use them, and they were made mainly for my own amusement, I have thirteen icons to advertise pertaining to my work-in-progress, tuesday_skyline. (They're nearly all of Tuesday, I know: I haven't found any pictures that look like Ian, with the exception of the tie photograph below.) Bases from the Stock Exchangefoto_decadent, and Corbis. Geeky punctuation icons, because I can, and because punctuation should be given the respect it's due. (It's, not its! It is > it's!) Also, two Eisley icons as a preview of what's coming eventually, and because Eisley is just shiny like that.

Aldus Manutius the Elder printed the first semicolon: therefore, he should be adored passionately worldwide.

Twenty Four T.S. Eliot Icons [January 14, 2006 @ 12:10am]

[ mood | ready for bed (almost) ]

I think I went just a little bit mad with these--but they were so much fun. All quotes from "The Hollow Men" and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by T.S. Eliot. Anyway, here you have it: twenty four icons. Bases from divine_debris, The Stock Exchange, and my personal photography

[Edit, 20 April: Have finally fixed LJ cut. All is well.]

Miscellania, T.S. Eliot, & Harry Potter [January 11, 2006 @ 10:18pm]

[ mood | moved ]

It's been quite a while, I know; I had a creative funk for over a month and wasn't creating much of anything (although my writing went crazy--maybe you can only have so many Muses going at once, eh?), and I haven't had so much time on the internet lately. However, I'm going to start plugging along steadily and getting this icon business down a little more, and try to, you know, make it look like there's actually something going on in this bare little icon journal here. ^-^ Anyhow. Onto the icons.

11 Series Of Unfortunate Events Icons [August 26, 2005 @ 9:26pm]

[ mood | content ]

Despite the fact that this is one of the most beautifully designed and most iconable films I've seen in a long time, I haven't gotten around to making the icons until now. I haven't made very many yet, but I do plan to make more at some point...as soon as I squeeze a lot more screencaps out of my pesky dial-up. .zip files of entire movies are too big to download, unless I want to hold up the computer for hours on end, and yet bare screencaps take forever to page through. Alas, the woes of dial-up.

Fifteen Icons [August 04, 2005 @ 10:58am]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Heh. I don't know why it seems I always make fifteen icons to a set. I swear I do not try: it happens. And I have no control over it (much like my writing!). Anyhow, here are fifteen icons from one of my recent artworks (and it's all MINE, I am not ripping). All of the lyrics are by Plumb ("Nice, Naive, & Beautiful" and "Real"). Lots of random variations. Enjoy!

Fifteen Mae Art Icons [July 31, 2005 @ 3:31pm]

[ mood | fine, thank you ]

I only used four of the different artworks in the liner for The Everglow, because these particular ones are my favourites, but if anyone shows interest I could make a complete set. Enjoy!

Welcome & Icony Goodness [July 17, 2005 @ 5:10pm]

[ mood | calm ]

Hello, lovelies, and welcome to Banui Graphics, a collection of marvellous things (I hope). I am your fearless leader Jolene; you may also address me as Jo or Banui (or any other among my plethora of strange nicknames, if you're lucky enough to discover any of them). I've got reams and reams and reams of icons still sitting in my hard drive, and I'll be constantly uploading them and making new ones, which I hope you enjoy. Read my user info for the rules, and the consequences of not obeying them. ^-^

And here for my first offering is a nice batch of Eisley icons, fifteen in all (two are variants). These were originally posted at 100x100movies. Bases from </span>wonderbreadland and the Room Noises album cover. Enjoy them!

oh, what marvellous thingsCollapse )
